Closed Leg Band Information

All our leg bands are made of 300 series stainless steel and have been specifically designed for psitticine-type birds. They can be used on birds ranging in size from the large macaws to some of the parakeets.

The closed leg bands are appropriate for hatchlings.

Closed bands are made by joining the cut ends by a process called silver brazing, which necessitates limiting the number of characters that can be used in the coding on some sizes.

On the 3/16 size we are limited to four characters, followed by three sequential numbers. The 1/4 size band can have up to six characters plus three numbers. Seven characters plus three numbers can be used on all other sizes.

Terms For All Leg Bands

 Every one of our orders is custom made to meet the number and letter coding.

Requirements of each customer: we prefer to have your instructions in writing or from an e-mail so that we can be sure of identifying your bands correctly.

 Freight Charges - USA Only

We will pay USPS regular or first class mail charges for orders of $100 or more.
On orders less than $100, add $6  for shipping and handling per destination.

 Freight Charges - International

We will contact you for International charges.
